Sometimes I wish I could live in NYC

Well, the best addresses in New York are abundant. It's one of those places where the variety is the spice of life. Upper East is for the wealthy family. You have Chelsea which embraced the gay population is a bit affluent but maintains its edge.  You even have Brooklyn Heights and Brooklyn increasing in value as people search for that diamond in the rough.  Tribeca is the artist haven for that neighborhood feeling and for the amazing lofts and industrial spaces.

But my favorite building and address is definitely The Dakota. Located in the upper West side. this former home of artists, working stiffs, and a dedicated co-op has all the history of New York and all the grandness of a old and new world meeting in one structure.

I often sit and look at floor plans of New York and try to image which apartment would have the right layout and right exterior.  The Dakota has it.  It has been in several movies and sadly was the last home of John Lemmon- he was shot coming out of the building.

The Dakota is the best Address in the Upper West Side.
